I caught the scrapbooking bug in December 2009 and don’t think I have recovered from it ever since. I was out shopping with my friend and we stumbled upon a scrapbook store. It was my first time there and I was immediately mesmerized by the awesome scrapbook goodies available and the samples in the store. I love that there is so much thought, technique and effort placed in each layout that it becomes an artwork on its own.
I am also very thankful for having a very supportive family who constantly give me feedback and ideas on my work. Scrapbooking to me is really about capturing life’s simplest and most beautiful moments and using various techniques to tell a story, transforming the layout into not just an art piece but a memento. I like that I can personalize it in any way I want and infuse my own style and personality into each layout. There is also nothing more fun than to shop for yummy goodies and scrap photographs of my loved ones! I love creating layouts that are very layered, colorful and interactive, such as adding hidden notes and album on a layout.
I have a soft spot for all things Webster’s, Crate and Prima!! They are just such gorgeous collections!
Another hobby of mine is photography. I am still learning and picking up skills along the way! Other than that, I usually spend my free time seeking good food, cooking, sewing, creating crafts and watching Korean drama (hehe!) !
